Tips for Post-Workout Hair

Are you known to sacrifice your hips for your hair?? I know I am!  Although it is one of the best times for me to go, I will often skip the gym in the morning or at lunch to save my hair.  I find that at that time of day, I don't have time to perfect my beauty routine by washing and styling my hair.  Here are some quick tips to get you back to work quickly after the gym.

1.  Mini-wash:
If you have front bangs, a mini washing can be really beneficial to fake a fresh look after your gym session.  Greasy and sweaty hair is much more noticeable on the front strands.  This will only take you about 5 minutes to wash and blow dry your front bangs and it adds a huge impact!

2.  Do a quick blow-dry to remove the evidence:
Skip the time-consuming full blow-out by focusing on the locks around the hairlines where you actually produce the sweat.  It's about giving oomph to the most visible areas, so take about 3-5 minutes to work on the front strands and crown.  Add a shine serum to tame flyways.

3.  Use a dry shampoo:
If you don't have the time for that full wash, massage dry shampoo into the roots to remove the oil and buildup from the scalp.  This will create that smooth look without weighing the hair down.

4.  Add volume to your locks:
Boost up the volume post workout to with a tonic or mist.  This will help to eliminate that weighed-down sweaty look by adding some lift.  For best results, spray on the roots of damp hair and uses a brush to blow-dry.

5.  Finish with a quick but fun up-do:
Revamp your ponytail by dumping the tight elastic band and use a wide plush hair holder or big hair chignon pin.  The tight band will create dents and make your hair look really flat.  Here are my favorite hairstyles for post gym.
