I know weight loss is not always the simple math that it seems... but I always find that by thinking about every action you take and by focusing on baby steps you will at least be moving in the right direction. The math says 3,500 calories in a pound. Sounds like a lot, I know, but when you make small changes they will add up in the right direction. Try some of these simple switches to get you on the right path:
Replace eggs and cheese with scrambled egg whites.
Replace your 450-calorie lunch with a 200-calorie protein shake.
Resist the handful of M&M's at the receptionist's desk.
Switch from a chai tea latte to lemon tea.
Leave behnd one-fourth of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Leave behnd one-fourth of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Replace ranch or blue cheese dressing with low-fat vinaigrette at lunch and dinner.
- Alternate running and walking.
- Go for a 20-minute trail run.
- Do 1 hour of housework.
- Run up stairs for 15 minutes.
- Dance for 40 minutes.
There are many more small steps you can take in your day. What are some of the things you have done to get started on your weight loss journey?
