Love It or Hate It | Wiking... The Hot New Combo

Oregon is a beautiful area known for its great trails and hiking, but that's not all it's known for.  Oregon is becoming increasingly more and more wine country.  So what happens when you combine 2 of the best things for your state?  A dynamic duo.  You no longer have to LOVE your exercise... maybe you are more of a foodie, or you just love to be outdoors, then wiking is just for you.  Wiking combines the love of hiking and nature with nightly wine tours.  Southern Oregon has coined this term with their hot new adventure that takes hikers down the Rogue River Trail, covering 40 miles in 4 days, but the best part?... The nightly wine tours and oenology talks by a winemaker.  Along the way they enjoy fresh caught salmon and staying in lodges that are accessible only by foot or raft.  Wiking is just starting to expand over the rest of Southern Oregon with others offering trails and wines in different distances and scenery.

I think this hot new trend will spread extremely fast.  I love the fact of incorporating 2 very different things.  This way people can enjoy nature, wine, and exercise.  When was the last time people really enjoyed their exercise??

You must get off your machines every once in a while people.  Get outside...  It's good for you!  Drink wine... It's good for you!
